Aasen Shipping AS and its subsidiaries want to take our share of the responsibility and contribute to achieving the UN’s goals for sustainable development for solving the global health and environmental challenges. The global sustainability challenges require a joint effort from business and government. 

Aasen Shipping AS contribute positively to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) by, among other things, investing in environmentally friendly ships, and developing ships free of emissions, track our carbon emissions, provide CO2 data, avoid plastic litter by banning single use plastics from our office and on our ships, promoting safe and secure working environments for all our crew and promoting responsible business practices.

Our ambition is to contribute to a more sustainable future. Responsible business practices by safeguarding human and employee rights, society, and the environment. Our Ethical guidelines are a part of all contracts. They prohibit unethical and illegal business practices and requires our suppliers to respect basic human and labor rights and have health and safety, environmental and privacy standards. 

Aasen Shipping AS takes the UN’s sustainability goals seriously and take particular account of sustainability goals number 3, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 16 in our operation and our projects.

Ensure wholesome meals for the crew on our vessels and inspire and provide the means to a healthy lifestyle on board.

Work systematically to reduce our energy-related CO2 emissions by 2033.

Continuesly secure ballast water and sewage is treated before discharging into sea. Any harmful substance such as oils, chemicals and garbage are delivered ashore to approved shore facilities.

Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through technological upgrading and innovation.
Through the Transparency Act ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements Promote and enforce non-discriminatory laws and policies for sustainable development.
